Little Elm / Oak Point Real Estate

Little Elm

Located in eastern portion of central Denton County, Little Elm prides itself on their “lake attitude.” The town of Little Elm enjoys 66 miles of shoreline on Lewisville Lake and the city takes full advantage of this; many neighborhoods and businesses are strategically positioned in order to have a view of the lake. Little Elm is home to the Cottonwood Creek Marina, which is not only one of the newest marinas on Lewisville Lake, but was also named “Marina of the Year” by the Marina Association of Texas for 2004 and 2007. Little Elm is situated just minutes away from Highway 380 giving residents easy access to Loop 288, Dallas North Tollway, and Highway 75. Students attend the district of Little Elm ISD, which is “Recognized” by the Teachers Education Association. With all these perks, it is no surprise that the city has started experiencing substantial growth in the past few years, but citizens continue to pride themselves on maintaining their small-town charm and of course, “lake attitude.”

Oak Point
Located just south of Highway 380 on Lewisville Lake, Oak Point is the lake town that very few people have discovered. A spirit of community and family is what binds these citizens together, which numbers just over 3,000. Students attend schools in both Denton ISD and Little Elm ISD, but residents have plenty to come together over within their own community. There are three parks within the town, one having a boat dock and allowing citizens to enjoy the lake year round. Classes, such as water color painting, are offered seasonally at the Oak Point Community Room, and residents celebrate at annual gatherings which include the Freedom Fest and Winter Fest.
