Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is vastly approaching us. What does this mean? My initial thought was to go on Groupon and find a sweet deal on flowers for my Mom. Pretty sad huh? When did Mother’s Day become another chore for us? Our Moms, though not perfect, loved us and cared for us the best they could, and we should unite to do something better this year. How do we do this you ask? Well, I’ve given this a lot of thought, and I’d love for someone to dust my baseboards and blinds. I’ve never liked cards or flowers, I’m more into manual labor gifts. Wash my car, clean the garage, pull weeds-you know, the stuff that I don’t want to do. With saying that, here’s what I am going to do this year for my mom. I’m going to go clean her closet. It is a literal nightmare. She won’t ever do it, or make executive decisions, so I’m going to do it. I think it’d be interesting to keep your wallet in your handbag and shell out good old fashioned elbow grease for your mom this year. I bet you’re thinking “Wait, I’m going to go do work on Mother’s Day? How will I enjoy this?” Well, you can go home and eat your chocolates and look at your new flowers, and thank God that you get to be a mother for another day!
